Gain a greater understanding of the importance of Active Offer of French Language Health Services to the Francophone community and its relevance in supporting the delivery of culturally competent care. By the end of the course, participants will:
- Obtain insights into Toronto’s diverse Francophone population and the principle of Active Offer.
- Assess organizational capacity to implement Active Offer.
- Develop practical tools and strategies which can be employed in the adoption of a systemic approach to the Active Offer of French Language Health Services and provision of culturally competent care.
This course has been developed by Reflet Salvéo and Health Nexus, in partnership with the Toronto Central LHIN, Collège Boréal and Centres Acceuil Héritage. In order to support HSPs in achieving their French Language Services requirement, training is provided free of charge for service providers funded by the Toronto Central LHIN.
